Before You Book…

With our Wedding Breakfast & Evening Disco package, we’ll usually meet up for a complimentary consultation meeting before you even confirm that you wish to book Oxfordshire Wedding Entertainment for your wedding!
At the meeting we’ll go through what is it that you’re looking for on your wedding day, how you can imagine it’s going to be, how you want to feel and how your guests will feel. I am full of great ideas and advice from my previous extensive wedding entertainment experience – I’ll listen carefully to your own requirements and then make any suggestions I feel would enhance your wedding day.
After the meeting I’ll provide you with a tailored quotation to consider at your own leisure. I’m then available by email, phone or video chat to finalise details right up to the big day!

Your Wedding Entertainment

Music of your choice will be playing in the background at a low level as your guests take their seats and throughout the wedding breakfast. Sensible volume levels from high-quality equipment will allow your guests to engage in conversations throughout the peiod, whilst the music sets the feel and mood for this very special time. It also gives you chance to hear the “non-dance” tracks that you love.
When it’s time for the all-important wedding speeches, either I, the venue manager or your toastmaster can introduce the speakers. Microphones can be provided if needed along with a brief outline of how to hold them for best effect (I’ll run through this quickly with you beforehand).
If a wedding cake is to be cut between the wedding breakfast and the first dance, this can be announced to the guests either as a simple cake cutting or a more formal ceremony. Then, at an appropriate moment, the music level is increased slightly and more upbeat music is played leading up to the time of your first dance. I’ll ensure that your guests are gathered ready to welcome you to the dancefloor when I will formally introduce you to the room. You may like invited guests to join you during the first (or second) dance in which case I’ll call them at the appropriate point.
If I’m working alongside other entertainers (bands, musicians etc.) I’ll have already been in touch with them beforehand to discuss playlists and timings in order to present you with a seamless evening’s entertainment.
Later in the evening, any other events such as the tossing of the bouquet or the buffet meal will be announced accordingly and the music and lighting adjusted as necessary to set the scene. Throughout the course of the evening I’ll be referring to your playlist (and your “don’t play list” – no matter who requests them!) to guide the music selection, filling in with similar songs and guest requests as appropriate.
The end of the evening will be played out in accordance with our prior arrangements, too – either upbeat songs leading to a crescendo or ending with some slower, romantic numbers. The choice is yours!
