This is a look back at PJ & Hannah’s wedding at Christchurch Centre – Northcourt Road, Abingdon.
PJ & Hannah were married at Christchurch Centre and celebrated their whole day there with their wedding breakfast being held in the new barn complex and then the evening disco held in the church itself. It’s quite unusual to have the evening disco in a church, but worked well.
I’d skype’d with PJ a few months before hand as he was a student down in Southampton and we’d gone over exactly what they were looking for by way of evening entertainment.
I arrived and set up at 6:30 with music starting at 7:30 playing background music before the 1st dance at 8:15. As PJ & Hannah were a little nervous dancing in front of everyone, guests were to be asked to join them part way through the first dance. After this the floor was cleared and Hannah danced with her dad.
Lots of dancing followed until, just before 10pm guests were asked to assemble outside the church and make a human archway all the way through to the courtyard where a car was waiting to take PJ & Hannah off on their honeymoon.
Once they’d gone, dancing ensued once more continuing on until the end of the night. A great night and fitting way to celebrate PJ & Hannah’s marriage. Lot’s for great songs to get loads of people up and dancing throughout the night.
Christchurch Centre offers a great setting for a wedding with a variety of rooms for different parts of the day. Plenty of parking and an “in town” location.
