Evening Disco with Oxfordshire Wedding Entertainment

Before You Book…

OK, so you’ve got the rest of your wedding day covered, you’ve arranged your music for the rest of the day and you’ve got someone to be your MC (If not, you might want to take a look at my All Day or Wedding Breakfast and Evening Services).

You just need a DJ to provide the soundtrack to the party of your life, the climax of the celebration of your amazing day. You DON’T want a disco like you had at school or a cheesy DJ that talks constantly on the microphone and embarrasses you and your friends. You may or may not want cheesy, dance routine music like YMCA and Macarena. But you want to dance and you want your guests to dance… we need to talk!

With my Evening Disco package, we’ll usually meet up for a complimentary consultation meeting before you even confirm that you wish to book Oxfordshire Wedding Entertainment for your wedding!

At the meeting we’ll go through what is it that you’re looking for on your wedding day, how you can imagine it’s going to be, how you want to feel and how your guests will feel. I am full of great ideas and advice from my previous extensive wedding entertainment experience – I’ll listen carefully to your own requirements and then make any suggestions I feel would enhance your wedding day.

After the meeting I’ll provide you with a tailored quotation to consider at your own leisure. I’m then available by email, phone or video chat to finalise details right up to the big day!

Your Wedding Entertainment

We will have discussed your plans for the evening. Initially, I can play background music as your evening guests arrive and If the wedding cake is to be cut before your first dance, this can be announced to the guests either as a simple cake cutting or a more formal ceremony. Then, at an appropriate moment, the music level is increased slightly and more upbeat music is played leading up to the time of your first dance. I’ll ensure that your guests are gathered ready to welcome you to the dancefloor when I will formally introduce you to the room. You may like invited guests to join you during the first (or second) dance, in which case I’ll call them at the appropriate point.

If I’m working alongside other entertainers (bands, musicians etc.) I’ll have already been in touch with them beforehand to discuss playlists and timings in order to present you with a seamless evening’s entertainment.

Later in the evening, any other events such as the tossing of the bouquet or the buffet meal will be announced accordingly and the music and lighting adjusted as necessary to set the scene. Throughout the course of the evening I’ll be referring to your playlist to guide the music selection, filling in with similar songs and guest requests as appropriate.

The end of the evening will be played out in accordance with our prior arrangements, normally ending with three singalong type songs, so your guests leave singing all the way to their cars!
